Blogging from HK airport now. Did I tell you I was 5cm away from will.I.am and we walked all the way to the customs.. How I wish I would brave up and at least tell him I am a fan. Anyway, been away for 18 days.

Realized a couple of things. I am more of a lone wolf than a wolf pack. The last 3 days in NYC. I moma, I graffiti, I eatlty and I caught some live band. Jaming at 3pm at a random Brooklyn bar. I love what I am hearing. They are called "Bleu". However, I think 2 is a sweet spot for me. Need someone to share, isn't?

2ndly, observations on the wolf pack. Guy don't like to ask for directions, and would rather look at maps. Gals, we ask allll the time. Hv an amazing chef sou driver on board. She drives, she cook and she wash.. While we eat too heavily and sleep too much. Nothing horribly hard to swallow, but all in all, I think 2weeks is kinda of long for a wolf pack(as far as I am concerned).

Ok, airport express just started its service. Ciao

You are what you drink!

Having fun in NYC. I am still talking about 50 Shades Parody. My first off boadway show. Let's see if you eventually get to see it too.

And yes. After 2weeks, I finally get to try Juice Generation. Must say, your supa dupa juice is the same as theirs..

Why are you still a fan when you are as good? For the record, it is your wish that I gotten Magic bullet rather than cold press.

Being Miss Kaisi, I went to Organic Planet at Kent's, bought kale, apple and celery to try out my magic bullet. Works perfectly. P.S. Google map is a good tool!

So the trick is to add nuts. Makes it more like a shake. So you say. If you are using non organic, you have to peel off the outer layer... Mental note.

Actually, I find it quite yummy! Took me 5mins to bottom up. It is becoming my new toy for the year! Yeah!!

So. We are what we drink. We are who we are. Regardless of how much we achieve in life, there ought to be people beneath us and above.

This is how I remind myself. Simplify my life. Don't multiply. Anyway, my top 2 cafés in Brooklyn. Above is Blue Bottle. Their drip coffee is decent. Had 3 Africans today, fruity and light.

Fav is still Toby's Estate. The vibe of the place, the latte and e banana bread. It's a golden triangle. Last day at NYC tomorrow. Would check out St Balmain. Good night!,

I am graffiti-ied in Brooklyn.

Yanfang and I were having our daily dose of Greek yoghurt n berries. She observed how I prepared mine and commented.. " you are visual...

Yes. I am. I appreciate looking at beautiful things. And to me, graffiti. 是美的! Today, I must have breached my graffiti limit. Found way too many. Below are all my shoots. I am proud.

Anyway, little airtime for graffiti education. And I insist! There are different type of graffiti. Below is "tags". To me, is just wording.

Seems to be, a lot of artists are into this.. You tends to see a lot of those. Least of my favorite. But again, if you managed to make good use of the surrounding to complement it. I.e, emergency staircase tags below, it works!

Next. Murals. Usually used to tell a story or make a sentence. Personally find it more meaningful than tags. Art should be a channel artist used. To voice out and influence. I like this better than tags. Also, Murals are becoming popular for commercial and advertising purposes.

Comes my favorite. Posters.!! Artist will create the poster off site. Paste it on site and add some final touches. I like seeing these "live". Different textures. Also, because posters are easier to remove(it does not last long..) So, nice ones are hard to come by.

Another thing I love about graffiti is. Is the surprise element. It excites me to stumble on one. I.e below. We exchanged glances when I was rushing to pack Chicken ramen from 5th street North Bedford.

Lastly. Below is a combination. Life is... Beautiful. If you believe it is. Good night.

Somewhere like Pillai...

Being a sucker for good hotel breakfast and bed sheets. I hv never see the relevance of taking up Airbnb. However, this time round in NYC. I am desperate to be living in a loft. So, the choice of doing Airbnb is obvious and turned out to be real Gold!

I like the homey twist. Can't tell you how delighted we were to find condiments, rice cooker! N such. And to me, Airbnb works well because...

It allows us to connect with like minded people. Our host James settled us in smoothly. Gave us great tips around the Brooklyn. More about that laters..;)

I never really felt home for a long time. 3.5years in rental apartments. Shanghai, Shenzhen and coming next;HK. Makes me miss living in a real home. Home is not a house. It's the furnitures you buy, the wall with the colors you like. For rented apartments, you inherit. You don't create.

Anyway something special. The industrial lift that we used. Semi manually operated. I find it damn cool. Some background. This building used to be a garment manufacturing factory. Now converted to 2A residential.

Totally what I would like, right? The lofts that I see in interior design magazines. Becoming a reality for me to live in. It's an amazing feeling. Anyway, needless to say. Ended up, we took the stairs most of the time.. Still no complaints.!

The manhattan skyline at the rooftop. I could totally imagine doing a BBQ in summers. Well, the place is so charming that I decided to extend it for my solo 3nights. Below is a picture taken from Airbnb. Beauty, isn't. So my style. So Pillai~

Lastly. My favorite meal. For a long time. Prepared by PQ. She is a star! Muackz!,
