Yen weakness.. E last of it..

A habit(bad?) of mine. I like to fly solo for awhile. Regardless of who I am with.


That morning. I cycled off at 7am alone. Visited another museum, got lost for a bit.


Then down to my tradition. Postcard. First to myself. Then Singapore and US.


Met up with some kind souls. Offered me a snack. Took a rest while waiting 4..



Okay. I think I am a loner at heart. See you soon, Japan. Who is next?

Yen weakness...@ Omotesando Hills

I met up with C and we were just talking about it.. 你说的是表参道吗? Indeed it is. That's how the Taiwanese call it, now I know. It's not only high end fashion, don't be mistaken.


If you side track off the Main Street. You will be surprised by the tiny boutiques. And maybe some villa of casual street brands. Be amaze. I had fun browsing thro these hilly roads.


This is my fav shopping belt in TKY. Full stop.

Yen weakness continued..@ Teshima Museum

Took me around 45mins ride to reach this museum. You will know you are reaching when you see a turn. With the ocean right in front of you. Some rice terrace as well.


From what I read:
-it is work of Rei Naito
-idea is to act in harmony with the environment
-museum echo the shape of a water drop
-fusion of art, environment and architecture


Here, you are looking at the main site of the museum. Would assume people spend hours lying there, at peace. Taking your time to feel the air, h2o and light..


Could be silly to some. But treat to others. Individual preferences, no right or wrong. For me, I like how they manage to blend in these museums into the islands. Doesn't look out of place. And I heard, minimum damage is done to the forestry, villagers' daily lives.. I mean, these architecture really kick MY! arse.


Erm lastly, thanks to the buddy who spend ridiculous amount on admission fees.

Yen Weakness

Following this move, it makes senses to revisit TKY. Even sushi at Akashi SIN fails to impress me. Anyway this post is about the beloved Starbucks.


Not sure if it make senses to say, this is my fav Starbucks in TKY. As it is suppose to look similar to one another. Anyways. THIS IS MY FAV. At top level of Harajuku TKY Plaza. Btw, something different. I saw them serving Short Frapp. It's e size of coke in Mac size meal. Aha!


There's a Starbucks Reserve counter at this branch. The premium blends of Starbucks. Talks say there will be a first Starbucks Reserve Bar in US Dec 2014. I can imagine it is like the Niketown meets Apple. Adjacent to Starbucks kinda of concept.


As PQ is busily typing away and working remotely at TKY Starbucks, I was counching, enjoying the weather and listening to e crows?.. I will be back!

This moment..

On my return flight, I am in the middle of a movie. Without turbulence, the captain switched on his PA system and here are his exact words:

"Sorry if you are in a middle of a track or movie. Passengers on the right hand side. You will see a lovely orange moon above you."

It is beautiful. It is symbolic. A note for my SIN trip; things won't always turn out the way you want them to be. What I like though: the good stuff that comes out of the bad things that happened.

Ah fei aka Cami, 6year old. Nic Tse aka QQ, 8mths old. 爱，原本就没那么简单。菲想得太多。The age gap, the cultural differences. Parents'(mine!) consent. List goes on. But QQ is determined and brave to love. After days; 

I hope they live happily ever after.

It is not easy owning a piece like this.. The maintainence. Coupled with the fussy me. Work the sums.
