Was at first reluctant to be back for CNY. But, I am glad. I made it. However, didn't managed to meet up with friends sorts.. More of family gatherings..


This is where I called home for CNY period. One of my fav sections of the house. Was blessed with good weather for first days of CNY, despite reports of anticipated rain showers and hot weather..


Visiting wise.. Still, I am a receiver of red packets. Amazing! There's 100,68,28. Smallest was 10. Brings back good childhood memories. And, my aunt has a photo of me, at her bedside table..A photo when I was 25 maybe.. I should visit more often, isn't..


So..something about me. I always enjoy watching lion dance. The drums, the expressions of the lion, the flashy colors.. There you go. Different types of lions. Above is southern. Which is what we are used to. Below. The northern counterpart, usually with the 花旦球 on his forehead. Which do you prefer?

It's sunny! Singapore!

I always loved my trips back home.. Like chocolates, it can never be too bad.. Interesting to note, what intended to be an information finding coffee, turns out to be h2h talk.. Surprised me. As always, I love my point form.

*so, my dad likes British India! Lacoste. Abit 冷门。but quite tasteful.
*so, I still cares a lot about, what he thinks of me...
*so, he said. 人，当然要上班。不然？。。。
*so, when my mum is my age??her waist line is 24. At first, I wonder to call that bluff. But .. Considering my mum got married at 30. True that.. I am playing catch up.

*family expenses. Portion of your salary of total family income. U should then pay your corresponding percentage of expenses, fair isn't?
*whine. There's a gauge. Don't under or over. Under, is when you have never said it to anyone before. Over, is when.. Numerous times to numerous personnel and yet. You don't have concrete actions to deal with it.

This moment..

On my return flight, I am in the middle of a movie. Without turbulence, the captain switched on his PA system and here are his exact words:

"Sorry if you are in a middle of a track or movie. Passengers on the right hand side. You will see a lovely orange moon above you."

It is beautiful. It is symbolic. A note for my SIN trip; things won't always turn out the way you want them to be. What I like though: the good stuff that comes out of the bad things that happened.

Tourist continued. Day 3.

After the bland char kway tiao. I decided to go back to the tried and tested. My fav wanton noodles at a nearby coffee shop. A conversation while waiting..

Tourist: what does "sho" means
Me: Orh, it means hot. It's hokkien.
Tourist: the coffee guy was shouting "excuse me. Sho sho.

After 2 minutes. She added. But he was carrying can of coke n ice cubes in a glass. I love her tempo...haha..

Char Kway Teow

This space should mainly be used for jotting down beautiful time. Mainly. Not totally. Today, it is my idea to q for the infamous char kway teow. 30mins we counted. Turned out to be, product is not as nice. Abit bland. Quite oily. But she said: 不会啊，粿条很滑。好吃。Brings back memories of how love-able; one can be. Very easy going. Very chill. Very love-able.

Strictly mine.

Last night, I went to bed without a shower. Without changing into my PJ. As a result, I was up at 5am. Feeeling pretty much recharged, I decided to take a stroll to my old hood. Brought back some good memories. But how I wish you are still here with me...

Just recently, was telling Jolin about my first pet and where I buried her.. This is the exact site, exact tree. Which is right outside the clinic. Til now, I still remember the vet, extremely patient lady, who bother to explain to a 10? years old, what is going on and help me to cope with my loss.

Childhood. This is our gathering site, for hide and seek. My ace hiding place is now gated up as private property. Sometimes, when the kids come knocking at my door. Mum will tell them, politely (but firm): Learning for spelling test. No hide and seek today.

Used to be our weekend day out dinner place. BBQ fish is good. My first dinner treat to parents and nanny, took place here as well. Mum insist on paying half the bill for me so that I still have enough to place a 1,000 FD. Perhaps this is her way of cultivating my saving habits.

Intended to end with my usual "happy meal" @ CMC. But it was too crowded. Anyway. Next time then! Well, makes me feel better about this trip.. Feeling ready to smile. And be silly now..

Was a last min trip to Yakun. Somehow it is not as nice as b4? The Kopi C is not even hot enough. The bread somehow lost its charms on me. Eggs made the mark. Anyway, we talked about our cohort of NTU guys. Wheres all the dean list chaps? Gossips of who eventually make it, who else don't. Where do they live? What car are they driving now? Although, why for the gals. We tend to talk whether they are still young and pretty. About their marriage and/or the husband rich? Shallow people we are. Aren't we? Nevertheless, enjoy every bit of time spent. Aha~
