Home cooked Dinner

Last week. One of the dinners at home. I was dishing out the last plate, have asked Yellow to start eating first...He asked: Dim. 需要先拍照吗?Reply. 好啊!

Ha! So here it goes..猴头菇面。。

It's JIA. Not a house.

There isn't any designer furniture around. Although ideally, I don't mind getting some, out of my pocket.

But I truly love this place. IKEA photo frame, 10sgd and cost less rubber bands... Pix of the lass, priceless.

3 tiers shoe rack, made of recycled carton box and shoe box.

I call it the hanging tree. Like the one in Bali. Pc from Daiso, 7sgd.

Elephant Grounds Continued.

Was over at EG for weekend brunch. Yellow's first time.
Me: Do you like it here?
Y: It's ok, but there are better places for coffee.
Me: Like where?
Y: There's 1 nearby. Pacific Coffee..
Claps. So we went to Pacific coffee the next day...

Might not seems relevant anymore. Below. Is my fav lunch at EG. Sake chicken rice

Bye!

Causeway Bay 2016

We been combing CWB in finer detail. We been going to Haven Street & About for quick meals. Particularly like the second hand clothing shops in the wet market, similar to the Beach Rd/Bugis Market.

MEAL. Quick meal to me, is defined as under 100HKD per pax. Less than an hour. To me. Main differences between CNY and SGD. In HK, you can't get a under 5SGD decent meal, that doesn't have 7-11 logo on it. Unlike CNY, which serves different cooking style for vegetables, HKD only has garlic fried, or boiled veg.

Below is a wicked pork chop with me pok. It's along Caroline Hill Street, Parnell to Haven Street. Only thing lacking, is vinegar. Otherwise, I wouldn't wanna change a thing.

You are the sun.

Officially a new year. Let it be a fresh start of sorts. S was telling me, how I should be my own Sun! I am not disagreeing with her, but, for now,I just want to go with the flow. Anyway, our place is all done. Hired help from Paul The Mover, more about that laters.

The missing TV. I was telling Yellow, we should try living without a TV. Well. No success there, we ended up getting a 50 inches. I hope I be able to bring it back to SIN when time comes.

These couple of days. I spent it domestically. Cooking congee. Scrubbing pans. I like mine to be the hybrid of "jook" and teochew porridge. Slightly sticky, yet you can have the texture of the grains. Usually, you will need to mix short and mid grains. Short for the starchy and mid for the grainy texture..

We are starting to explore the restaurants down at Fashion Walk. EAT.it is a disappointment. Elephant grounds; you can't really go wrong isn't. I ordered a Salted Carmel coffee. Happy with my order. Although, the specialty is French Vanilla. Didn't want to try that. On my next visit, I would try bulletproof. There's butter in it. Reminded me of kopitam version in SGD. Looking forward to EG version.

Cubes V.1.0

You can have much fun with the cubes..Arranging, re-arranging..

Me: Why is your camera bag behind Maneki neko?
Yellow: If not, where is he going to keep all the 财 he collect for me.
Me: True.

I hope he has vacuum to compress the wealth.. After all, the bag is rather small.

Home Sweet Home!

Finally moved! With 17 items and 35boxes in storage. We are done in 48hours. Yellow is my hero! The sweetest moment, is to enjoy the fruit of labour. @ Sofa.

And so, the theme for this home, is metal, wood and modular. Nomads, make sense to have it modular, isn't. Below is my fav area at moment. I would have taken the Kartell table, if not for the price. Anyway, I love what I have now...

Time to sleep. Muackz

It's not true..

So you said. I must be moving to a bigger house each time.

Unfortunately not. SHA 1600. SZ 1000. HK 615.

Anyway. Above is blu skies in HK. Which you don't get that frequently.. Lastly, conservation housing @ Wanchai. I love the mood. However, facilities wise, it is lacking. Common toilet styled.

Good week ahead.

I moved on...

According to records, precisely. SHA to SZ was 11 Jan. SZ to HK 16 April. Now, I am packing again. 8 months in Mori Mori, estimated to be 10 boxes.. Hopefully, the next move won't be till 2years later. Unless, it is SGD, for that, I am willing to do, anytime.

On the bright side, this move is better than previous 2. Yellow is on leave, I am finally not alone. Number 1 is the loneliest number. It's great to know you are not the only "1".

Can't wait for you to be in HK. I wanna bring you to cat eye curry. Let's see when that is.. Spring ends in April..

Above. My fav Xmas decoration; Landmark.

Simple Pleasure: Happy Cake Shop

It does makes me happy! We will get bread from them every week. Record, is we finished 8 pieces in a setting. My firm favorite is Mexican bun. But, luncheon, tuna, ham and egg are among my daily...Traditional bread, before Prima Deli, Bread-talk Era. I like the signature that comes with it. Char Siew is a red dot, Red Bean is black sea sesame. Curry is green...

Add: 108 Queen Rd East, Wanchai. Close to Hopewell Centre.

Wry my Snoopy!

So, this is what I gotten from MacDonalds last Sunday. I have been toying with it all this week. Shall do it again this Sun! Anyway, we have just rented an apartment. @ Paterson street. Where I always wanted to be. That is the part of CWB which is not overly crowded. Yet, not a shady back lane.. Currently on furniture shopping mode. My fav!

So, count down to my last days.... You know what I mean....

Being a tenant..

So, the below is my pad in HK for past 8mths. Now that I am a freer bird, it's time. More importantly, I need my stuff. My plates, my blankets etc. Added as a trigger, BFF is coming over for 2 weeks, and as he described, looking forward to doing daily stuffs!! So am I;)

So the rental search. In short, the more I have seen, the sharper focus I have. I know what I want and what I don't. First, location. Going home, getting changed and hopping to Hysan at 9am. Is great pleasure to me. Lobby, corridor. Secondary to others, as compared to interior. Not to me. For the above, I am willing to forgo space and interior. Reno to me, is not important. I just need 4 white walls. I never believe in reno, be it rental or sale.

Anyway, search in progress.... Btw, Proximity is star. Having a friend to show you love. Makes you wanna cry. I loveeee the cheese cake! N

Re: Weekend/Simple Affair

Weekend. Was pretty much it. Simple. Home cooked meals. Never left HK island. Silly movie and variety shows. Hang out, do things..

So, do you really crave for freedom. Or is it overrated? The illusion of being free. But ultimately wanted to come back, be locked in a cage. Warm and comfy...

So. This is my fav fish. Promfet. White. I like it steamed. We seldom cook at home, mostly "fix" meals; salads soup... After this meal, makes me want to cook more often. Only that most of our ware are in storage.

Y asked. "Why don't you unpack. Maybe subconsciously you wanted to go back to Singapore. "Honestly, I don't know. There's a possibility. Anyway, I gave a politically correct answer: home is where Yellow is... Aha!

Chicken soup. For the soul. I added some udon. Don't know why. I had this idea for my next destination. I want to travel. To that place. That place that serves the best udon in the world. It's definitely Japan, isn't. Let me google later...

Above. As Yellow puts it. The most expensive piece of butter he ever have. Hand crafted....

Good night! Kiss kiss.

HK friends

Do have to admit, you will have more friends to hang out in HK. Be it those who resides here, or those coming for vacation.

Anyway I do agree with Clement.. " you will know when you aged. It is when you stop dreaming ( or having big ambitions) and kept talking about old memories...

Yes, I need my anti oxidant.

Above. Meal from Muji HK. Among one of my fav...

No Pre Mondays Blue

Filled with joy but tired too. I feel empowered yet feeling the pressure. In delivering and seeing my overflowing plate.

So next week. I aimed to be in control of my schedule. Energy. Positive. And focused. Let's work towards it.

Sher commented. From 18 yr old onwards, most part of my life, I am attached/now married. She don't think I can survived in this world. On my own. Really, do you think so?

Maybe. It is true? Knowing someone is around. Loves you. Always be there when you need it. 5 stars. I had my 5 stars and want to be his 5 stars too.

All these photos. Sat @ Macau. 8 hours in total, including ferry. I saw another side of the place. Love it. It's like the 80s Singapore. Retro looking cinemas. Weighting machine that issues you ticket studs. Road side food stalls.

Going NYC again in 2 weeks. SG 50 week.
