Cooking in Beijing

Intention was to cook Chicken Rice for Xinxian.

Coupled with soup. Xinxian loves SOUP!

The end product. Claypotted Chicken.

Throughout the session, everyone is busy with their tasks.

And Roy's task is obvious. In charge of snapping pretty shots for the babes (",)

Before we start, a photo with THE CHEF and our fav drink: WANG LAO JI.

Good spread. Keeping everyone busy.

Mission accomplished!!!!!

Great Wall 长城

Wow!

Thanks for your reminder , pal!

11 years ago, I went up to Great Wall with the same lot.

Tells alot about our friendship.

Hee hee. And of course, Champion went. So now, she is spared on the 11 years old OLD jokes.

11 years is a long time. We are no longer the 15years olds, running around He Laoshi.

Now, a group of young promising looking 26s.

Despite what we have achieved now. I think, all of us, wished, we can be 15s again. Carefree.

How I wish, we are able to slip into the time tunnel.

Back to the fooling around days. But again, not all bad about growing up. At least, you are able to buy whatever you want. Provide for your parents. Go for great holidays. Buy your own BOSE earphones. Not all bad.

Hey Roy! At last, a decent photo of us. YEAH~

Was cold @ Great Wall. Sunshine kept us warm.

Roy got these t-shirts for us. For our group photo taking. Thks!

Photo taking was REALLY FUN! Alot of Chinese tourists volunteered their help. Guessed because we have "CHINA" written on both front and back. Haha. It helps :)

Ending 2008 soon.

越过长城,走向世界. Wish you guys ALL THE BEST in the coming year. FRENZ 4EVER (",)

Just GO - Beijing

I shall leave Lijiang entry for a later date. NOW. Just GO! Lucky Air to Beijing.

Yulong Snow Mountain 玉龙雪山

Got excited when I got nearer.

Cant helped but to ask Wang Shifu to stop by the side for some photo taking.

Hee hee. Yan found this shop. We rented those for 2SGD.

Then comes the serious stuff. Better drink some hot chocolate first.

There you go. Hiya Mister Yulong!

Grasping for OXYGEN!

Wooo... Xi...Wooooooooo.Xi.......

Shangri-la 香格里拉

Supposedly a nice place. Which is a blend of Tibetan and Han Chinese.

But I find it disappointing. Not because of the weather or the living conditions. Because I managed my expectation when I am in such places.

Although the hotel is really lousy. No supply of water.

Then we went out to stock.

On their street. Simply that. Not charm.

Didn't get to visit any Tibetan Monastery. This is the closest I got.

Then, we went to some natives "HOME" for dinner.

Their so-called kitchen.

Local Feast. To me, T~O~U~R~I~S~T~Y. The sort that I don't like at all.
FYI: High Altitude. 4500m above sea level.

Be prepared. I mean if you ever consider going, in the first place.

Tiger Leaping Gorge

A bonus to visit this Gorge, as it is on the track to Shangri-la. Haha. Below is the guide of our only package tour. Living under her Commando Rule for a couple of days (",) I will leave it to PQ to tell you more about her.

Toilet Break Shopping.

Our coach is said to be the best in the WHOLE SHANGRI-LA.

Tiger Leaping Gorge. An ancient legend says that tiger used this rock as its stepping stone so it could leap across from one side of the gorge to the other, which is how the gorge got its name.
Quite glorious view. But Freakin F**kin C~O~L~D.

BBQ sweet potato and.....

WANG LAO JI!! (Fav drink in this trip)

Lastly, the loo that reminds me of my Tibet trip.

But poo-ing at Potala Palace is still unbeatable!!!
