798 Art Zone

Sometimes, I just like being a loner.

Detaching from the BV gang.

Heading to 798 Art Zone, Beijing. With my buddy. Mr Apple IPOD.

Met a new friend. Mr Smiley

Bumped into Smiley, not once, but twice.

Freezing COLD.

Good for Mr FAT here. Has got his FATS to keep him warm.

O ya, Mr Mao is there too!

I retreated into a nice CAGE cafe (indoor).

For a rose petals waffle and star-bucks look alike TEA.

Home Sweet Home AGN

Just back from HK. What hot in HK? Michele Reis just got married. Wedding pictures are all over the place. Hot kinda of hot.

What is happening to the world today? Reading today's papers. "No news is good news". It is so true. All news are bad. Where is the trust and love. And eventually PEACE.

Even if everyone on earth is having nightmares, I will protect you. Sweet dreams, Cami.

Music, Love and Peace,

Dream.

You are incredibly lucky: if you wake up and wonders whether you are dreaming the life you have made for yourself.

But what if: you wake up, hoping everything is a nightmare?

The day is here????

Da Tong Beijing Duck

If you never climb GW, you have never been to Beijing.

Sames goes to Beijing Duck. You just have to!

Da Tong is sweet. Free flow of wine as you wait for your table.

The bar top is surrounded around the open concept kitchen. Ducklings roasting in cherry wood.

Makes you want to order one more duck. WHICH WE DID!

A sign that we have over ordered. But who cares. Every single dish there is yummy.

My top 3 dishes.

3rd place: Beijing Duck

2nd place: Braised Eggplant. I never had these before. Tasted like Kong Ba. Goes well with a bowl of plain rice.

Top place: Gingko Nuts with Cabbage. Thanks PQ for her reco. This dish is a STAR! Creamy gravy, seems like chicken broth with minced ginko nuts. Cabbage and whole ginko nuts nicely cooked. The combination and style of cooking is JUST SIMPLE HEAVENLY! I shall be back. I want to share these dishes with Yellow :)

Lijiang 丽江

Lijiang. A very charming little place. That you wouldn't mind going back. Again and again.

Local delight: BA BA. I still think our roti prata beats them, upside down. inside out.

Hmmm. But their BBQ food is nice.

BBQ mushrooms never taste so good! Extremely cheap too. 2-4 SGD for this platter.

Shu He Old Town. Reasonable enough to spend 2-3 hours.

Then check into a native Naxi Tribe Home stay.

We occupied the best rooms in town. Yi Mi Yang Guang is filmed in these rooms. Thanks Wei!

Just when you thought its time to turn in.

You might want to think twice.

The "Citi" never sleeps.

We went for night shoot. Posing.

And more posing. Hee hee.

Happie with the night shots though. All thanks to Yellow's camera :)

Cooking in Beijing

Intention was to cook Chicken Rice for Xinxian.

Coupled with soup. Xinxian loves SOUP!

The end product. Claypotted Chicken.

Throughout the session, everyone is busy with their tasks.

And Roy's task is obvious. In charge of snapping pretty shots for the babes (",)

Before we start, a photo with THE CHEF and our fav drink: WANG LAO JI.

Good spread. Keeping everyone busy.

Mission accomplished!!!!!

Great Wall 长城

Wow!

Thanks for your reminder , pal!

11 years ago, I went up to Great Wall with the same lot.

Tells alot about our friendship.

Hee hee. And of course, Champion went. So now, she is spared on the 11 years old OLD jokes.

11 years is a long time. We are no longer the 15years olds, running around He Laoshi.

Now, a group of young promising looking 26s.

Despite what we have achieved now. I think, all of us, wished, we can be 15s again. Carefree.

How I wish, we are able to slip into the time tunnel.

Back to the fooling around days. But again, not all bad about growing up. At least, you are able to buy whatever you want. Provide for your parents. Go for great holidays. Buy your own BOSE earphones. Not all bad.

Hey Roy! At last, a decent photo of us. YEAH~

Was cold @ Great Wall. Sunshine kept us warm.

Roy got these t-shirts for us. For our group photo taking. Thks!

Photo taking was REALLY FUN! Alot of Chinese tourists volunteered their help. Guessed because we have "CHINA" written on both front and back. Haha. It helps :)

Ending 2008 soon.

越过长城,走向世界. Wish you guys ALL THE BEST in the coming year. FRENZ 4EVER (",)
